we love working with kids and helping them find their way in our industry.

What do i need to submit my child?
Send 3-4 photos of your child
*Photos need to be well lit
*we prefer natural lighting
*without “creative” filters
reel and resume if they have previous work (don’t worry if they haven’t)
name and number of legal guardian who is able to take the child to their auditions and be with them on set. please note this is a huge time commitment and is usually facilitated by a parent or grandparent who does not work.

does my child need a work permit?
A
a work permit is not required for submission to bsa.
however, your child will need a valid work permit before they are able to work.
- GO TO: http://www.dir.ca.gov/dlse/OnlinePermits.htm
- Select: Register or Renew online.
- Set up a user name
- From the dashboard, select "Entertainment Work (Minors)" from the dropdown menu.
- Complete the registration (You may need school documents and medical records)
- Pay fees
- You should receive a confirmation email.

does my child need a special bank account?
A
A coogan account(blocked trust account) is not required for submission to bsa.
However, your child will need a coogan account before they are able to work.
California requires blocked trust account, also known as a Coogan Account
- 15% of everything your child earns working in the entertainment industry must be deposited into a blocked trust account.
- It is your responsibility to open a blocked trust account at a bank and provide the account number to your child’s employer.
- To open a Coogan Account, you typically need your child’s
- Social Security number
- Birth certificate
- Proof of your identity.
There may also be a fee and deposit required when you open an account.
You may be able to establish the account in person, by fax or by mail.
The actual requirements depend on the bank, credit union or brokerage firm you choose.
